Have you ever been walking your horse and then all of a sudden you get pulled backwards because your horse found a nice patch of grass?
Well it's simple to teach them not to do that. All you have to is be a post. What??!! Yes be a post, simply grab the rope and anchor yourself so that when the horse goes for that grass he hits the end of the rope and doesn't feel and give. Make sure that you don't pull back on the horse when it pulls, just stand there and hold solidly on the rope. Be the post. He will eventually realize that it is useless to pull against this post that he is tied to and stop pulling. Is your horse cured for life of pulling for grass? No, he will still try to get the grass but it will not take as long or be as hard to get him to stop. I hope this is helpful.
