I posted this poll because I am curious. Right now, we have five mares for sale, after selling all of our geldings no problem. People keep telling us that they don't want mares. It surprises me because I really don't seem to notice our mares being particularly moody or disagreeable. In fact, often I think mares work harder for you - we have one mare in particular who would keep going until she dropped if you asked her to.
What's your take on this?

I agree that the gelding are easier to sell. Most folks who will only consider a gelding really haven't even had any experience with mares when I ask why they don't want one.
