My vote goes to the late Ronnie Willis. He taught me to remember to meet the horse where he is, not where I want him to be.

I have been learning a few different ways - Pat Parelli, John Lyons, the Dorrances and Ray Hunt. Whatever info I can get that enhances the overall concept.

We started with Parelli and still use a lot of those methods and have incorporated what we've learned from the Dorrance books, Mark Rashid's books, and from the clinician Brent Graef out of TX. His website is www.brentgraef.com He teaches a lot about mental imaging and soft feel.
